Musk says Twitter to launch gold, grey checks alongside blue verified mark

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 25 — Twitter will roll out verified gold and gray verify marks because it relaunches the coveted blue verify service subsequent Friday, chief govt officer Elon Musk stated in a tweet, after holding off the rollout earlier this week.

“Gold verify for firms, gray verify for governments, blue for people (celebrities or not). Painful, however obligatory,” Musk stated in a tweet.

All verified accounts can be manually authenticated earlier than the verify is activated, Musk stated.
